Jan 17, Netty rated it did not like it Shelves: Omg I'm so so glad that's over, I can honestly say I hated this book, I painstakingly finished this only because I'm finding myself not finishing a lot of books lately, obviously I'm reading rubbish. Way too much thought process from these characters, I found this most irritating, I didn't connect with them at all.

I'm not sure what else to say about it apart from its a very forgettable book even though I've only just finished it Jan 15, Sherlindreah rated it did not like it Shelves: I absolutely hated this book Well ok, butches are really not my cup of tea but even then. I really don't think the wam-bam-thank-you-mum really excites a lot of women in reality.

Thanks Lord I've never met a woman who told me after two seconds smooth talking words such as "I want to fuck you" and the truly lovely "I want you to feel my cock".. I'd probably still be running away anyway I love women and I always did and I love them because they are wo I absolutely hated this book I love women and I always did and I love them because they are women. When Unity sees Penn, she is appalled by a muscular body with no hips, a tough body and an androgynous face I just strongly suggest then that she picks a guy and not a parody of a guy because if you are attracted by that you are not attracted to women I blasted through this before my audiobook subscription ended I thought I'd read it before actually and I have to say I enjoyed it way more than I expected.

Now, there are chunks of it that are certainly not suitable for playing on the stereo in the kitchen, but I liked the main characters and the corporate espionage sub plot. At it's heart this is a story about two reserved, independent people, who encounter one another in impossible circumstances, and finding that the power of attraction can I blasted through this before my audiobook subscription ended I thought I'd read it before actually and I have to say I enjoyed it way more than I expected.

At it's heart this is a story about two reserved, independent people, who encounter one another in impossible circumstances, and finding that the power of attraction can melt the most trust-averse of hearts. Must've been my frame of mind but this one hit the spot. Jan 14, Alena rated it really liked it. The story that brought both characters together kinda disappeared in the end which was a little bit disappointing.

More stuff

It is so bad that it is comical. Obviously I am missing something as most reviews are positive. So there is Penn, a retired CIA operative who is taking contracts from the private sector. However, in her spare time she works security at the hippest fetish night club in the city out of a some tremendous bond with the club owner which is never explained What???

Then there is Unity great name, huh? Penn's job is to get Unity into a "compromising" position, and record it on tape so it can be used as blackmail. Of course, as soon as they meet they fall deeply in love.

I won't spoil the ending, but it just shows how shallow each character is written. I don't know why the fetish club - it provides a sex scene and a lot of psycho-babble between Penn and two sisters who happen to be French doms. It's like the fetish club is there to make the book "erotic", but it fails miserably.

This book is a complete waste of time unless you are looking for something farcical and dull. Jun 06, Emerson rated it did not like it. I only started, and managed, this one because I was pissed. If I'd been sober, I'd never have gotten there. May 07, Tg rated it it was ok. Just the same as another book I read by the same author. Characters almost identical, a butch woman who is so butch she might as well be a man, and a more femme character.

The butch character is ex army, so was the other one in the other book, the femme character is a scientist, so was the other one in the other book, yawn. Well written in that the grammar and spelling are largely accurate but it reads like a book written by a man for the titillation of other men, soft porn, virtually nothing ro Just the same as another book I read by the same author. Well written in that the grammar and spelling are largely accurate but it reads like a book written by a man for the titillation of other men, soft porn, virtually nothing romantic in it at all.

Sadly I bought four in one compilation by the same author - I have a nasty suspicion that I won't need to read the other two, I am expecting an ex army butch with a penchant for aggressive sex and a femme scientist who is super brilliant and falls in love instantaneously with aforementioned butch. Feb 24, Kimberly rated it really liked it. NH is a sizzling, sexy, and succulent read. The characters and plot are believable.

I was completely enthralled.

Ligero y sin muchas pretensiones. A pesar de sus mujeres femeninas y hombres masculinos o lo que quiera que signifique eso y algunos pasajes olvidables, la trama logra enganchar y pasas un rato entretenido. Aug 18, jeffrey rated it liked it. I was fully intending to give this potboiler of a novel its well-deserved two-star rating for the overblown theatrics and really not believable characters, but-- I grudgingly liked the admittedly over-done name-dropping, Zelig-like historical settings, and brand consciousness to set the historical stage of the drama.
